pride. the downfall of most characters and the main of more... namely a bunch of asses who might be your boss.
prejudice.something that can get you in trouble, if the person you are sidded with hapens to rob a bank and acuse you of it, you while being temporarily insane and blinded by prejudice might side with him on that one.
i a m talking about this book because i read the book recently and realised how bad our generation is compared to the substle and polite world of the victorians.
for example, if the want to say that you are not a total fucking dumb-ass idiot bitch, all they might say is "she is not such a SIMPLETON as that"
and as i read this i wonder, as WHAT?
of course compared to those days, we have more things to do....more PRODUCTIVE things to do.
if a person who lived in victorian times gets resurected and reads this, then they might think... "but of course we do productive things"
well, in my opinion, the meaning of PRODUCTIVE those days might differ to what we find are productive... they produce PRODUCTS of their loins, while we write in our blogs, study our sciences, learn our languages and invent our gadgets.
seriously, think about it, how many families are as big as those in victorian times?
how many more male and woman die an old maid or male? WAY more than the percentage those days. why? because we are more seductive....oooppsss i meant PRODUCTIVE.
hehe... never mind.
